Cost optimization by matching the number of employees to the level of production
As LeasingTeam Group, we have successfully supported a company from the industrial sector, whose production is characterized by seasonality. The company asked us to prepare a solution to optimize employment costs.
Analysis and solution
Our team of experts conducted a detailed analysis of previous orders and expected orders, comparing the level of employment with the level of production. The analysis showed that the best solution for the company would be to maintain a permanent staff at the level of 70% of the total employment. This approach provides the company with access to experienced employees and an additional buffer in the event of a decrease in production, which ranges from 10 to 20%.
In periods of increased production, the missing 30% of staff is supplemented by temporary workers delegated by LeasingTeam Group, which allows for a flexible response to production fluctuations.
Goal achieved: reduction of employment costs
The implementation of the solution proposed by LeasingTeam Group enabled the company to effectively adjust the level of employment to the actual needs of production. As a result, the company avoided losses during periods of downtime or order drops. When the production line was stopped for about 20% of the workforce for one week, the company reduced the monthly costs of maintaining the team by 3%.
Thanks to its flexible approach, the company reduced employment costs without the need to incur additional expenses, and the proven team was able to smoothly return to work after the downtime.
