1. Creating an IT team

A company from the IT sector, setting up operations in Poland, commissioned the LeasingTeam Group to build a team of 16 IT maintenance specialists: programmers, testers, IT infrastructure maintenance specialists, technical and business analysts, solutions architects and team leaders. The LeasingTeam Group carries out the project using its proprietary LeasingTeam ASSET® methodology.

Analysis and strategy
LeasingTeam’s IT group analyzes the client’s expectations for the profile of the ideal candidate and the market for IT specialists. The main challenge turns out to be the client’s lack of name recognition on the Polish market. Based on this analysis, LeasingTeam’s IT group prepares a recruitment strategy that places stress on building candidates’ motivation to work in the client’s organization. Thanks to its expertise and sector experience, LeasingTeam’s IT group develops a skills profile allowing it to quickly find candidates on the job market. Potential recruits for junior positions are selected from the base of candidates from LeasingTeam’s IT group, and by working with educational institutions. Candidates for higher positions are found using direct search. The candidates are confirmed by specialized tests of competencies, and psychological tests. By selecting appropriate methods and tools, LeasingTeam’s IT consultants select candidates that meet the criteria, and recommend them to the client. The client meets with the selected individuals, and chooses workers who are hired by LeasingTeam’s IT group and begin working with the client.

By entrusting the entire process to LeasingTeam’s IT group, in a month and a half the client gets two eight-member project teams, of specialists of the highest caliber.

2. Supplying IT solutions

After going through a reorganization, a foreign company asks LeasingTeam’s IT group to help optimize the department responsible for maintenance and development of the logistics support system. The main problem is the diffusion of knowledge and skills, because in this area the client works with eight subcontractors with very specialized knowledge.

Solution
LeasingTeam’s IT group, comprising experienced consultants, including IT consultants, analyzes the situation and identifies the causes of the problem: cultural differences between the subcontractors and the client, and reluctance to share knowledge. The solution is to hive off and outsource the system maintenance and development function. The client gives LeasingTeam responsibility for implementing the service and supplying a ready-made solution. Working with the client, LeasingTeam’s IT consultants define the goals, set the key performance indicators, select methods and tools and determine the strategy in the area of negotiating with subcontractors, including a proposal for a guarantee of a contract for a set period. LeasingTeam’s IT Group prepares a schedule for implementation and ensures the client of support at each stage. The process is coordinated by an experienced person in the role of team leader, supervising similar projects.

Additionally, setting a Single Point of Contact simplifies the structure and saves the time of the client’s team. Within half a year from the start of the project, maintenance costs in this area are lower by 18.5%.
