It covers the entire recruitment process &#8211; from the first contact with the company&#8217;s brand, through the advertisement and application, to the recruitment interview, feedback and the end of the process.<\/p>\n\n<p>Therefore, the candidate&#8217;s experience is influenced by every stage of contact with the organization, regardless of whether they eventually become an employee.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is candidate experience important?<\/h2>\n\n<p>A candidate&#8217;s good experience affects the opinion of the employer, the company&#8217;s image and the effectiveness of recruitment. Candidates are increasingly not only evaluated by companies, but also evaluate employers themselves and decide whether they want to participate in the next stages.<\/p>\n\n<p>Negative experiences during the process can discourage re-application and increase the risk of negative evaluations. A positive candidate experience, on the other hand, can promote more applications, better matching of candidates and more efficient employee acquisition.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does the candidate experience work and how to design it?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Candidate experience begins even before the candidate decides to send a CV. First, he pays attention to the company and the offer, then looks for additional information, and only then makes a decision about the application and participation in the recruitment. Each of these stages affects his perception of the employer. If the experience is good, even a person who is not hired can maintain a positive opinion of the company and become interested in its offer again in the future.<\/p>\n\n<p>Therefore, it is worth looking at the entire process from the candidate&#8217;s perspective and taking care of:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a clear job advertisement,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a simple application form,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>automatic confirmation of receipt of the application,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clear information about the next stages,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>short a waiting time as possible,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>efficient communication from recruiters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Both the quality of the advertisement and the reduction of unnecessary barriers at each stage of the process are important.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do communication and feedback affect the candidate experience?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Communication during the process should be specific, up-to-date and reliable. The candidate should know what the position is about, what the next stages look like and when they can expect a decision.<\/p>\n\n<p>Feedback after the interview is equally important. Feedback on the reasons for rejection shows respect for the candidate&#8217;s time and can positively influence their opinion of the employer. Clear messages also reduce the stress associated with waiting for a decision.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emotions and storytelling in candidates&#8217; experiences<\/h2>\n\n<p>The candidate&#8217;s experience is influenced not only by the recruitment process, but also by the way the company talks about itself as an employer. Employee stories, blogs, vlogs or other employer branding content can show what work in an organization really looks like, what the atmosphere is like in it and what values are important for the team. Thanks to this, the candidate can better assess whether a given company meets their expectations before applying.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to measure and improve candidate experience?<\/h2>\n\n<p>To measure candidate experience, it is worth collecting the opinions of candidates who took part in the recruitment process and observing problems arising at different stages of the process. A short candidate experience survey after the recruitment process is completed may also be helpful.<\/p>\n\n<p>The results should lead to specific improvements. If candidates indicate too long waiting times, an unclear advertisement or a lack of feedback, it is worth improving these elements.
