Mistakes at the stage of personnel selection are costly \u2013 it is estimated that hiring the wrong person can cost the company up to several times its annual salary. So how do you make the recruitment and selection process run smoothly and only the best specialists get to the team?   <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recruitment and selection of candidates for a given position \u2013 key differences<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Before we move on to specific steps, it is worth explaining what the selection of candidates is as opposed to the recruitment itself. Although these terms are often used interchangeably, they describe other stages: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Recruiting employees is the process of attracting and generating a pool of potential candidates. These are marketing and communication activities aimed at informing the market that we are looking for hands to work. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Employee selection, on the other hand, is a stage of filtering, evaluating and selecting a specific person from among those who have decided to submit their application.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Only the combination of recruitment and selection of employees creates a full talent acquisition cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phase I: Preparation and search for potential candidates<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The first step to success is to precisely define your needs. Without a solid foundation, the whole process can end in failure. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Define a candidate profile<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Before the content of the advertisement is created, recruiters must create the so-called persona of the ideal candidate.
