This allows many employees to take a full 26 days of vacation earlier in their careers.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Calendar of holidays in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In 2025, the statutory employee is entitled to 14 days off work. This applies to people employed under an employment contract.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, this situation applies to two days:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Constitution Day of 3 May<\/strong> (Saturday),<\/li>\n<li><strong>All Saints&#8217; Day<\/strong> (1 November, Saturday).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means that employees will receive an additional two days off, which they can use in consultation with the employer. This should take place in the same month as the holiday on Saturday &#8211; if the workplace has adopted a monthly settlement period. At the request of the employee, the company can give a day off after the end of this period. Then, in the case of an inspection, a specific reason for such a decision should be given. The employer can \u201cgive away\u201d a day off before the holiday falling on Saturday or after it. It can also indicate specific days or allow the employee to choose a day off. Importantly, the employee is entitled to a full day of leave for a holiday falling on a Saturday. It cannot be divided into hours.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the best way to plan your vacation to get long weekends? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Below are suggestions on how to organize a long holiday using statutory holidays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January \u2013 New Year&#8217;s Day and Epiphany <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Epiphany, which falls on Monday, gives you the opportunity to spend a long weekend at the beginning of the year without having to take an additional holiday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 2025 \u2013 long weekend <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Labor Day falls on Thursday, and Constitution Day falls on Saturday. It is enough to take one day off (May 2) to enjoy a four-day holiday (May 1-4). Thanks to the allowance for a holiday falling on a Saturday, the employee gains an additional day off at a different time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corpus Christi \u2013 June long weekend <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Corpus Christi falls on June 12 (Thursday), which creates the possibility of a longer weekend when taking a holiday on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August \u2013 long weekend on the occasion of the Assumption <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>August 15 falls on Friday, which means a natural three-day weekend \u2013 the perfect time for summer rest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>November \u2013 a long weekend and a day off for All Saints&#8217; Day <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All Saints&#8217; Day falls on a Saturday, which means an additional day off to use. In addition, Independence Day falls on November 11 (Tuesday).
