Temporary work contract

Do you value flexibility and the chance to gain a variety of experiences? Choose temporary work!

Temporary work is a form of employment that involves three parties: the temporary worker, the employment agency and the employer/client. How does it work? You sign a temporary work contract with the employment agency, which becomes your formal employer. The employment agency delegates you to perform your work at the agency’s client, the employer/client. You will perform your duties under their direction. In turn, the employment agency, as your formal employer, handles all the HR and payroll servicing of your employment, meaning they calculate and pay your compensation, calculate vacation time, make deductions for income tax, social-insurance contributions, etc.

What are the advantages of this form of employment?

  • an opportunity to return to the job market and gain professional experience – gain valuable professional experience and new skills, working on interesting projects in a variety of companies and sectors, fitting together professional work and care for a child
  • a chance at permanent employment – show the employer/client your best side, and when they decide to increase their permanent headcount, you’ll be a proven candidate
  • access to the same benefits as with a standard work contract – you can take advantage of paid vacation and sick leave, and your compensation is paid into your account regularly.

A temporary work contract differs from a standard work contract in that it is regulated by the law on employment of temporary workers of July 9, 2003 (Journal of Laws 2003.166.1608).
