Careful selection of candidates

In response to the vacancy announcement, 900 applications flood in. LeasingTeam Group analyzes the responses and conducts telephone interviews with selected candidates. Ninety people are invited to the next stage of recruitment, of which 60 come in for meetings. After these interviews are conducted, LeasingTeam Group recommends 21 people to the client. The client invites 18 people for further interviews, of which it ends up hiring six.

3. Cost optimization by matching employment levels to production

Analysis and solution

On the basis of earlier and forecast orders, LeasingTeam Group conducts a comparative analysis of the level of employment and of production. The analysis shows that the optimum solution for the company is to maintain the level of permanent personnel at the level of 70% of the total. This solution allows the company to benefit from proven workers, while simultaneously enjoying a 10-20% buffer for a possible drop in production. The company can make up the remaining 30% of employment with people delegated by LeasingTeam Group during periods of increased production.

Implementing the LeasingTeam Group’s solution allows the company to adjust the level of employment to the level of actual production, and thus to eliminate losses during shutdowns or periods of lower production. When the production line is shut down for about 20% of the crew for a period of one week, the company saves 3% of the monthly costs of maintaining the crew. In this way the reduction in employment doesn’t burden the company with additional costs, and a proven team can come back to work after the week has passed.

4. Effective motivation system

Supervision over the workers is carried out by the company’s managers, who begin to complain of an inadequate number of people for the job, and request additional positions. Introducing the solution proposed by the LeasingTeam Group leads to effective use of the current number of employees. Instead of overtime (about 10% of total hours worked), new positions are introduced, absences are reduced and bonus criteria are changed. As a result of these actions, employment costs are reduced by 20.1%.
